Grant Hart 1961-2017
An excerpt from the book 'Buried Treasure' (Libery Press, 2016):
"Grant Hart's 'Intolerance LP' from 1989 is a truly beautiful record with great songs. I first heard it in 1991, when I was living in Dublin. I think I bought it in Comet records or Freebird - I can't quite remember. When I first heard it, I just knew that the argument about who was the better writer in Husker Du was redundant. It was Grant all the way for me.
His voice, sense of melody and use of language was just extraordinary. Grant also looked like someone you wanted to hang out with. Bob wrote some great songs too, but Grant is also a painter, and that quality and form also translates into his songs. They aren't one dimensional. They live on and off the record.
It certainly didn't, and still hasn't become an internationally known record. I think it's a safe bet to say it's tucked away in the large universe of cult records, which is a shame, but those that do know it, love it. Some people even wrote songs about Grant. There is also a film about him which is worth tracking down.
The first time I saw Grant play was when I opened for him at a show in 1992. I still have the huge street poster for it somewhere. It's too big to frame but it's a lovely reminder of the event. I fondly remember meeting him for the first time and I've seen him many times over the last couple of decades, and have played more shows with him, and we hung out a bit.
The thing with Grant is that he is out there somewhere, and always doing something, whether it's playing shows, painting or making a record. He exists in his own world and marches to his own drum, and I can understand and relate to that."

A new book 'Buried Treasure Vol.2' includes a critical overview of the long deleted 1997 album, 'Where Old Ghosts Meet'. Marc Carroll also contributes to the book with a piece on the Grant Hart album, 'Intolerance'. Published by Liberties Press, it is available now.

One Little Indian will release a new Marc Carroll album in January 2013. The Album will be issued on Limited Edition Vinyl, CD and Download options. The first single from the album, '(It Was) Lust Not Love' will be released on October 22nd.

One Little Indian will re-issue the first 4 Marc Carroll albums in 2013....after the release of the brand new album. We have delayed this project to concentrate solely on the new record. The albums up for re-issue are 'Ten Of Swords', 'World On A Wire', 'All Wrongs Reversed' and 'Dust Of Rumour'. All have been remastered at Abbey Road in London. LOS ANGELES 18/5/11
Marc Carroll will do a short set tomorrow (May 18th), as part of the Desert Night Sessions at the Standard in Hollywood, Los Angeles. LA Songwriter Anny Celsi and Erin Ivey from Austin, TX also perform. Nelson Bragg and Probyn Gregory from the Brian Wilson band will also be making several guest appearances at this event.

New EP - Matty Groves
High Noon will release "Matty Groves" on July 5th 2010.
This is a 33rpm Red Vinyl 3 track 7" Extended Play in gatefold sleeve. The record is a numbered and very limited edition pressing of 250 Copies. The other tracks are "You Just Might Be What I've Been Waiting For" & "Always (Alternate Mix)".

New Video
A new video for 'What's Left Of My Heart' has been added to the video section. Mojo Magazine gave the new album a 4 star review, which along with Uncut's 4 star review and an unprecedented 5 star review in the Mirror, has resulted in Marc's most critically acclaimed album to date.

New Single & Video
A double A side single will be released shortly that will feature 'Against My Will' and an exclusive non album track 'Matty Groves', the video for which can be seen on the front page. This single will be a very limited edition 7" vinyl only release, available through select shops and through our online shop.

New video, New Album Reviews
A new video for 'Always' has been added to the Video section. Uncut awarded the new album a 4 star review in the latest issue which is out now, the review is in the Press section. The vinyl edition of Dust Of Rumour is now an initial run of 500 copies worldwide. It will be available in select shops around the country and also through our shopping system here. Also, in the coming weeks we will be presenting an exclusive non album track/video.

Dust Of Rumour - New Album
The new album 'Dust Of Rumour' is released on July 13th 2009. This is Marc's first album in 4 years. The album was recorded with long time recording and studio partner, Adi Winman and was mixed by Graham Sutton. The album is issued by High Noon and will be available in the following formats : Digipak CD, Vinyl LP and iTunes. The LP is a special edition pressed on 180 Gram vinyl and is limited to 500 copies only. The CD and LP will be available in all good record shops (We do encourage buyers to support their local record stores) and online through our shop, as well as the usual online outlets such as Amazon.

We will be presenting some exclusive video clips, interviews and session material in the coming weeks and months but in the meantime, we have two short promotional clips on the site. This footage was filmed recently in California and are the first in an ongoing selection of videos and short films that will be made available on this site, our youtube page and other select online pages.
